Girls' football has been played in Chester-le-Street since season 1999-2000. The popularity of girls' football has increased since then with 14 schools competing in the girls' league over eight sessions during the season

Congratulations to Portobello Girls' team who are league winners 2024/25, with Rickleton Primary coming runners up. A really strong year of competition in the Chester le Street Girls' League, with 3 of the teams in the league making it to the Durham County Final in May.
